2025 Bond Proposal Information Meeting

Parents, community members and Mason residents are invited to an Informational Meeting on Monday, May 12 at 6 PM at Mason City Hall to learn more about the proposed 2025 Bond. The meeting will include a 30-minute presentation followed by an open question and answer session. Those interested in learning more about the 2025 Bond recommendations being made to the Board of Education are encouraged to attend the meeting. 

South African Student Visit

By: Dr. Janet Alleman, MPS Instructional Consultant and Professor Emeritus at Michigan State University. 

While visiting the United States, four graduate students from South Africa visited the district to learn more about education and learning in our country.

The students visited several buildings and engaged in dialogue with students, mental health specialists, teacher coaches, classroom teachers and building leaders.

Sex Education Advisory Board Public Hearings

Parents and community members are invited to two public hearings hosted by the Mason Public Schools Sex Education Advisory Board. The purpose of these public hearings is to report the progress of the school district Sex Education Advisory Board and to obtain input from the public regarding proposed revisions to the sex education curriculum and instruction for the district.

    • Proposed Bond Community Informational Meeting- 6 PM

      Community members are invited to an Informational Meeting on Monday, May 12 at 6 pm at Mason City Hall to learn more about the recommended School Improvement Bond which will be presented to the Board of Education in June. The proposed School Improvement Bond, which will be presented to voters in November if approved by the Board of Education at the June 26 budget hearing, would request the Board NOT raise taxes from the 2025 assessment level.     • 7th & 8th gr Bulldog Brilliance
      Date: May 13
      Time: 2:35 PM to 3:35 PM
      Calendar: Mason Middle School
      7th & 8th gr Bulldog Brilliance, Tuesdays & Thursdays after school.
      Students can stay after school to receive help with assignments, homework, etc.
      It is held in our Library and supervised by our teaching staff. Students can either be picked up at 3:30 or sign up for the Late Bus, and ride the elementary route home, if they normally ride a bus for school. 
      If a student needs to ride the Late Bus, they need to sign up in the Main Office with Mrs. Wright no later than 11:00 am each day that they will be riding the Late Bus. 
      Students do not need to sign up in advance to attend Bulldog Brilliance; they can just come to the Library on those days and sign in upon arrival.
