Check out the upcoming fall aquatic event schedule. Events run August 21 - December 21 unless otherwise noted. Schedule subject to change with or without notice based on pool availability and maintenance.

Open Swim
  • Fridays, 7 – 9 PM
  • Saturdays, 1 – 3 PM
  • No swim- 8/30, 8/31, 9/6, 9/13, 9/14, 9/20, 9/21, 9/27, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/29, 11/30, 12/14, no Friday open swim on football game nights.
  • Price: $3/adult, $2/students and seniors, $8/family of four
Water Fitness (ages 14+)
  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:15 – 8:15 PM
  • Begins August 26
  • No class- 9/2, 10/9, 10/28
  • Price: $6 at the door, punch cards are available
Adult Lap Swim (ages 18+)
  • Price: $5/person or $35/10 punch card
  • Tuesday through Friday, 6 – 7:30 AM
    • No swim: 8/30, 11/1, 11/27, 11/28, 11/29
  • Saturdays, 7 – 8:30 AM
    • No swim: 8/31, 9/14, 9/21, 11/30, 12/14
  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:15 – 8:45 PM (no shallow end walking available during evening adult swim)
    • Begins August 26
    • No swim: 9/2, 10/9, 10/28


Are you interested in offering a new class for Mason Community Education? Please fill out this form to offer a new class and return it to Jessica Miller, Community Education Director.

Each class has a minimum and maximum number of participants needed to run the class. In order for teachers to properly prepare for their class, please pre-register and pre-pay for all classes/events. Registration will end 1 week before class/event starts. Printed copies of the guide can be picked up at Mason High School Athletic Office. Please mark your calendars for any dates listed where class will not be held due to school closure or other events interfering. IF school is closed for weather issues, Community Education/Aquatic Center is also closed.

THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION AT THE DOOR FOR CLASSES OR EVENTS (unless otherwise noted)!

MAIL: Please fill out information at the bottom of this page. Enclose a check made payable to Mason Public Schools. Mail to: Community Education, 1001 S. Barnes Street, Mason, MI 48854

CONFIRMATION: You will be emailed if your class is canceled or needs to be changed for any reason. No confirmations will be mailed but registering online will allow you to print a confirmation.

REFUND POLICY: Full refunds will be given for classes canceled by Community Education. A $5 processing fee is charged for each class dropped by the customer. To request a refund, call the Community Education office at-least two days prior to the first scheduled class. No refunds will be given if notification is received after the two-day deadline. Community Education reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule class days/times as needed. In case of last minute closure, every effort will be made to reschedule, but this is not guaranteed depending on building and staff availability. There are NO prorated class prices or partial refunds.

BUILDING LOCATION GUIDE:

Mason High School - 1001 S. Barnes Street - Aquatic Center is located on the north end of the high school building OPPOSITE the football stadium. Same side of the building as the Tennis Courts.

Mason Middle School - 235 Temple Street

Alaiedon Elementary - 1723 Okemos Road

North Aurelius Elementary - 115 N. Aurelius Road

Steele Elementary - 531 Steele Street

Harvey Educational Center - 400 S. Cedar Street

Mason residents, age 62 and above, qualify for a Senior Citizen Golden Pass. Golden Pass holders may attend the following Mason Public School functions conducted on Mason Public Schools premises: 

  • Athletic Events
  • Band Concerts
  • Plays
  • Musicals
  • Open/Family Swims

Golden Passes are available in the Mason High School Athletic Office and at the District Administration Office located on the second floor of Mason City Hall.
