MHS and MMS are National Unified Champion Schools!

Mason High School and Mason Middle School were recognized last week for earning designations as National Unified Champion Schools by Special Olympics Michigan! Of the more than 600 Unified Champion Schools in the state, only 27 have earned this highest designation by the Special Olympics.

Mason Middle School Students Win Statewide Writing Award

Five Mason Middle School (MMS) 8th graders were honored for their submissions to the Growing Libraries with Representation project. This project was presented by the Aspiring Educators of Michigan (AEM), a group supported by the Michigan Education Association to help future teachers. Congratulations to the winners, Mckelvy Brown, Miriam Omans, Sophia Le, Hayven Jayne and Maria Sutberry!

Second Trimester Office Hours

An updated list of Second Trimester Teacher Office Hours is now available. The primary purpose of office hours is to give students and families multiple, timely opportunities to communicate with teachers about academic and behavioral progress, replacing the underutilized traditional Parent/Teacher Conferences. During office hours, teachers, students, and/or parents can meet in person, via Microsoft Teams, or by telephone.

Middle School Office Hours

This school year, Mason Middle School and Mason High School will be taking part in a new pilot program replacing traditional Parent/Teacher Conferences with teacher office hours. Parent/Teacher Conference Pilot Program

During contract negotiations this past summer, Mason Public Schools (MPS) teachers and administration agreed to enhance the opportunities for communication between schools and families. To that end, MPS has committed to a one-year pilot program regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences.
