Ted Berryhill

Mr. Ted Berryhill, Principal

Mr. Berryhill is in his 22nd year with Mason Public Schools (MPS). In his time as a Bulldog, Mr. Berryhill has been a 6th grade math/science teacher, district instructional support teacher, middle school assistant principal/athletic director, and middle school principal. Mr. Berryhill serves on the MPS Diversity Committee, MPS Communications Team, and Mason Promise Scholarship Board.

The Mason Middle School (MMS) team serves approximately 800 students in grades 6-8 along with providing a myriad of extracurricular activities for our students.  Students at MMS experience a student schedule that includes four core class periods, two elective class periods, WIN (What I Need) intervention/enrichment classes, and Advisory on Wednesdays. MMS strives to be an exemplary learning community that enables each student to flourish as a responsible citizen in a complex, changing world.  MMS embraces a culture of lifelong learning where collaboration, high expectations, and the development of each student is the priority.

For the 2024-2025 school year, our team will be focusing on collaboration, growth, learning, and positive results for our students. Look for great things to be happening at MMS! Go Bulldogs!

 

Ms. Mary Hilker-Loch, Assistant Principal

Ms. Hilker is in her 20th year in education and her 7th year with MPS.  Ms. Hilker-Loch is a Mason Bulldog and Michigan State University graduate, and returned to the area seven years ago, after spending 13 years working as a middle school history teacher and administrative dean of culture in Chicago. Upon her return to Mason, she taught 5th grade at Alaiedon Elementary School for three years. Ms. Hilker-Loch also serves as chairperson of the Mason Public Schools Diversity Committee.
