The Michigan Department of Education has recently published the annual Bulletin 1014. In this report, Mason Public Schools has maintained a ranking for low total business and administrative costs per student compared to other Michigan districts for the years ending June 30, 2015, 2016 and 2017. For the last three fiscal years, Mason Public Schools has been ranked in the lowest 8% of all school districts in the state, for the lowest business and administrative cost per student.

Mason High School students win a contest to Skype with well-known author

Earlier this month, Mason High School students participated in a Skype call with worldrenowned young adult author and vlogger, John Green. Mason High School Librarian, Kristy Sandel worked with students to enter a contest, in which a winning school would receive the opportunity to speak with the author. Alaiedon, North Aurelius and Steele Elementary all receive top scores on the Michigan School Index System

Mason, MI –The new Michigan School Index System, which was released this Spring, allows parents and school staff to analyze a school’s strengths and weaknesses in a range of areas as well as lets the community get a sense of the school’s progress. Fifth graders honored at ceremony at Mason Middle School

Mason, MI – On May 2, twenty-five outgoing Mason fifth graders were honored at a ceremony to be recipients of the Mason Promise Scholarship when they graduate in 2025.  Mason Public Schools administration selected students to be scholarship recipients based on academic capability, motivation, behavior, parent support and economic need.
