Welcome Coco!
The Bulldog Bark Squad has grown by four more paws with the addition of Coco! Coco recently joined the home of her new family with Kathleen VanFleet and will be working at North Aurelius Elementary starting later this school year. She has been training with Canines for Change and can’t wait to meet her new human friends at Mason Public Schools! Thank you to the Rotary Club of Mason for supporting Coco and the Bark Squad! We are excited to share that Emelia Brown has been selected as the next principal of Harvey Education Center (HEC). She will begin in July and welcome students this fall for the new school year. Mrs. Brown has been an educator for more than 20 years and has extensive experience in both elementary and early childhood education.
A special Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 5:30 PM, in the chambers of City Hall. The agenda includes selection of the Harvey Education Center principal and discussion of a property purchase.
The Sex Education Advisory Board Committee will hold public hearings regarding two reproductive health consent lessons. Hearings will be held on April 22 and May 11. Both hearings will be at 5:30 PM in the Sycamore Room at City Hall. Community members are welcome to attend and provide input.
