Don't miss Mason Middle School's annual Evening of the Arts on Thursday, April 10, from 6-9 PM! Students will showcase art in all forms, and the event will include: 
- Performances by the Mason Middle School and Mason High School Band
- Drama performances
- Choir showcase from the Varsity Choir
- Student art show
- Glow art gallery

Mason High School and Mason Middle School were recognized last week for earning designations as National Unified Champion Schools by Special Olympics Michigan! Of the more than 600 Unified Champion Schools in the state, only 27 have earned this highest designation by the Special Olympics.
The 2023-28 Mason Public Schools Strategic Plan guides the work we do across the district every day. As we work to complete the goals outline in the Strategic Plan, families and community members can follow our progress on the Strategic Plan Dashboard. Five Mason Middle School (MMS) 8th graders were honored for their submissions to the Growing Libraries with Representation project. This project was presented by the Aspiring Educators of Michigan (AEM), a group supported by the Michigan Education Association to help future teachers. Congratulations to the winners, Mckelvy Brown, Miriam Omans, Sophia Le, Hayven Jayne and Maria Sutberry!

It helps Mason Public Schools better understand the community’s support and priorities create our shared vision for the future. The Bond Steering Committee will use the survey results, along with district needs assessments and facility studies, to help finalize the Bond proposal. Congratulations to this year’s Mason Chamber of Commerce (MACC) Excellence in Education award winner Allison Altenberger from North Aurelius Elementary!
Mrs. Altenberger has taught special education at North Aurelius Elementary for seven years and supports students in grades 1-5, helping them grow academically and socially.
Her students consistently achieve academic growth, especially in reading and math. She is known for her sense of humor as well as her compassion and dedication and works to build strong relationships with students and families. In addition, she communicates effectively with parents and colleagues creating a positive learning environment.
