Congratulations to Beth Conroy, 2025 Michigan School Counselor of the Year!
Beth Conroy, Mason High School Counselor, has been named the 2025 Michigan School Counselor of the Year by the Michigan School Counselor Association.
For the past three years, she has advocated at the building and district levels for a comprehensive school counseling program that allows counselors more time to offer direct services and support for students. She has also advocated at the state level by providing testimony regarding the bill that would make the FAFSA a mandatory graduation requirement and participating in Legislative Education Day. Her application will be forwarded to the American School Counselor Association for consideration for National School Counselor of the Year.
We are thankful for her contributions and proud to have her on our team at MPS!

There is still time to register for kindergarten! Harvey Education Center is still enrolling students to begin kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. Children must be age 5 on or before September 1, 2024, or December 1, 2024, if you have obtained a waiver, to qualify for kindergarten. Enrollment is also still open for PreK and preschool programs. The Young 5’s program is currently waitlisted.

This summer, construction will continue to take place at the middle school and high school; families and community members should expect limited access to the buildings. The following closures and changes are planned for the summer, actual closures may change based on project needs. Thank you for your patience!
- On June 6 and 7, there will be no access to offices at Mason High School. Beginning Monday, June 10, temporary offices will be open at the high school including counseling and athletics offices. Please see the planned closure map for details.
- The north parking lot at Mason High School will be closed during the summer, visitors should park on the south side of the building to walk around for access to tennis courts and other facilities on the north side of the building.
- Access to the middle school main office and entrance will be significantly impacted by construction projects throughout the summer, middle school families will receive information about how to contact staff over the summer if needed.
Families are reminded to pay off any outstanding meal account balances before the end of the school year. While full lunches were free this year, students may have incurred lunch balances by purchasing milk separate from a lunch or ala carte items. Balances can be paid through e-Funds accounts or by calling 517.676.6529.
Mason High School will have a new principal this fall! Myriah Lillie has been selected as the new high school principal and will take over for retiring principal Lance Delbridge next school year.
