The Mason Public Schools Health Team is offering free, drive-through COVID-19 testing for staff and students before and after Winter Break. Testing will be offered Friday, December 20 from 7 - 8:30 AM and Monday, January 6 from 7 - 8:30 AM at North Aurelius Elementary School.
Testing is limited, please pre-register as there are a limited number of tests available. The drive-thru testing site is located on the south side of North Aurelius Elementary. Follow the building entrance highlighted in yellow and stop past the building entrance.
The Bulldog Bark Squad has grown by four more paws with the addition of Coco! Coco recently joined the home of her new family with Kathleen VanFleet and will be working at North Aurelius Elementary starting later this school year. She has been training with Canines for Change and can’t wait to meet her new human friends at Mason Public Schools! Thank you to the Rotary Club of Mason for supporting Coco and the Bark Squad! As we head into the winter months, snow, ice, cold temperatures and road conditions may lead to school closings and delays.
In the event of school closures or delays, families will be notified by email, phone calls and text messages using the Skylert system.
In addition, school closings will be reported to local television stations and posted on the district website and MPS Facebook page.
Students at North Aurelius Elementary were excited to welcome Paris Olympian Heath Baldwin when he visited with 4th grade students during their WIN time! Heath is a student-athlete at Michigan State University on the Michigan State Track and Field and Cross Country team! He competed in the Decathlon at this summer's Paris Olympics! Thank you for visiting and inspiriting our students!
Harvey Education Center students and staff are thankful to the student educators at Wilson Talent Center for helping in kindergarten classes! The student educators helped with individual and small group instruction, planned lessons, helped with daily and routine tasks, and provided support for students in academics and social/emotional learning.
