Sex Education Advisory Board Applications
Mason Public Schools (MPS) is accepting applications from parents and other community members interested in serving on the Sex Education Advisory Board, a required committee made up of district stakeholders who review the sex education program, establish goals and make recommendations, as necessary, to the MPS Board of Education.
Membership requirements are established by law and at least one half of the members of the Sex Education Advisory Board must be current MPS parents. The Sex Education Advisory Board shall also include students of the district, educators, local clergy, and community health professionals.

Those interested in serving on the Sex Education Advisory Board can complete the Sex Education Advisory Board Application online or in person to the Mason Public Schools office, 201 W. Ash Street, Suite 2A, Mason, MI 48854. Paper copies of the application are also available at the Mason Public Schools office.
All applications must be received by November 1, 2024, for full consideration.

Each year, Mason High School honors a group of standout student athletes, coaches and supporters by inducting them into the MHS Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2024 honorees are the 1987 Girls Basketball Team, Chris Howe, Abby Perkins, Marv Pulver and Ryan Thelen.

Thank you to the Mason Public Schools (MPS) Foundation for the generous donation of $85,000 to the district this year! During the check presentation on September 10, 2024, each building principal received a ceremonial check and shared how the funds impact their buildings, staff and students.
The MPS Foundation works with community members and business partners to raise money for MPS that allows for expanded and enhanced learning experiences for students. Thank you for your ongoing support of MPS!

During contract negotiations this past summer, Mason Public Schools (MPS) teachers and administration agreed to enhance the opportunities for communication between schools and families. To that end, MPS has committed to a one-year pilot program regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences.
