Mason Public Schools is thankful for Canines for Change and the Bulldog Bark Squad! Gery Rehmann from Canines for Change visited Mason High School and provided training to 10 teachers to work with Lewis. Staff were taught basic commands for Lewis like, "stay", "sit" and "leave". We are thankful for the continued support Canines for Change provides to our facility dogs, their handlers and our school community.
This school year, Mason High School and Mason Middle School will be taking part in a new pilot program replacing traditional Parent/Teacher Conferences with teacher office hours. The primary purpose of the pilot is to give students and families multiple, timely opportunities to communicate with teachers about academic and behavioral progress, replacing the underutilized traditional Parent/Teacher Conferences. During office hours, teachers, students, and/or parents can meet in person, via Microsoft Teams, or by telephone.
During contract negotiations this past summer, Mason Public Schools (MPS) teachers and administration agreed to enhance the opportunities for communication between schools and families. To that end, MPS has committed to a one-year pilot program regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences.
All 2024-25 Open Houses will be Monday, August 19, 2024. We look forward to meeting new students and welcoming Bulldogs back to school!
Mason High School will have a new principal this fall! Myriah Lillie has been selected as the new high school principal and will take over for retiring principal Lance Delbridge next school year.
